The ISHR Mid-Career Investigator (MCI) group, established in 2019, represents cardiovascular researchers 8–15 years post-terminal degree who have not yet reached Full Professor status.
MCI representatives from the European Section organise dedicated sessions, discussion panels, and networking events at ISHR meetings and World Congresses, alongside initiatives supporting career development and addressing the challenges of this career stage.
These activities foster exchange, collaboration, and a strong mid-career research community.
